7 June 2oo9, Sunday, Asian Civilisation Museum

Isabella and I went to visit our ancient friend, Emperor Kang Xi. :D

A long time no see old friend! (LOL)

We met and took the MRT all the way to Raffles Place. Then we attempted to walk to ACM and we failed.

We walked and walked and thought we were reaching. To our horror, we walked to Cityhall MRT instead. We were utterly LOST. WAHH. Thus, we took a taxi. It cost us a total of 1 hour and $3.60 to reach ACM. SIAN.

Then Isabella bought the ticket. I did not need a ticket because BP kind of paid for it already. So BPians, whenever you go to ACM, you do not need to pay ok!

We started exploring and took random photos.

Then we walked back to raffles MRT for a super late lunch. We switched our minds again and again for umpteen times before going to Marina Square or is it Suntec. Can't remember. Anyway, the point is we walked up and down the citylink walk way. I never remembered walking so much in a day since OBS. LOL

However, it was an intriguing trip and Kangxi is really a good leader yeah!

It was the last day of ISP and our sweet reward was a movie treat of Night at the Museum II- Battle of the Smithsonium(Can't spell). Really funny, funny and super funny.

mercury in-glass thermometers hate me.

A LOT!

1) The first incident was last year, when we were doing a physics practical on specific heat capacity. I toppled the styrofoam cup, along with the thermometer and viola! It broke. =.= It must had been a shock for Ms Ling, the trainee teacher then.

2)TODAY! During a freaking O LEVEL CHEMISTRY SPA ASSESMENT.
How unlucky can I get. I did the thermometric titration twice only to realise that the thermometer was spoilt. My first reaction was to check whether I placed the thermometer upside down. How stupid is that?

Thank goodness I called for Ms Chow's help, and got extra time. Anyway, I still finished at 9.10 a.m, though I was given time till 9.30a.m.. =.=

I hope it won't cost me any marks. =.=

Got to go write my testimonial and let Mr SYL beautify it. -.-

Meet the Parents 2009

The meeting was alright. Just like Mr Seow conversed with me, my mum and my grandma in Chinese (YES, MY GRANDMA CAME =.=), uhh and Ms Rashidah was quite awkward since did not understand a single sentence.

My mum took the chance to complain I didn't sleep enough and is under tremendous stress. Apparently she blew up the whole thing and exaggerated it. =.=
Thus, SYL started rambling about the advantages of sleeping early and kept reminding me to sleep early. -.-

On a brighter note, SYL says I am smart, but I am not sharp enough. Hmm. He commented my results are well balanced and I am a balanced person. LOLOLOL. Totally yeah.

My class ranking is 14, which is terrible.
My level ranking is 101. See, how much I love Ziobang. =.=

HCI dsa is just a gamble, if I didn't secure a place, then be it. I'll just work harder for NJC.

I think I am going to try for DSA to Hwa Chong, using leadership. However minimal the chance is that I will get in, I really think I should go for it.

I can't do anything about DSA to NJC, because:

The DSA-NJC exercise 2009 will open on Wednesday, 20 May 2009 and close on Wednesday, 3 June 2009, 5pm.

Anyway, the campuses are just opposite each other right?

The main reason why I want to apply for DSA is because the teachers from HCI came today. I was quite inspired and I really hope those current IP students will be warm. =.=

I don't think I will DSA for other JCs.
1) I don't think I am of RI's calibre.
2) VJC is so FAR.
3) NJC is (refer to the top.)
4) TJC is at Bedok and I live in CCK.
5) ACJC is not suitable for my character. Cultural conflict. LOL, they speak ENGLISH all the time.
6)ACSI is offering IB, but I'm not interested.
7)Meridian JC is at PASIR RIS. =.= I don't mind if the school sponsor chalet for me as my hostel.
8)AJC, SAJC, PJC are fine; but I don't think I can't gain admission w/o DSA.
9)For CJC, IJC, JJC, NYJC, SJC and TPJC, it is ...... to use DSA. They had never crossed my mind.

I don't know if I will be as lucky as when I was in P6, when BP took me in through DSA (I still got 253 and into 101; what a waste of my 40 bucks =_=)

Nevertheless, it is good to try! If I fail, I will be motivated and pushed harder to strive for excellence!

I realized that it is better for me to have a blog to rant, occasionally.

Since that my HMT and SS did improve from the rubbish that I got in Term 2, I shall start posting every now and then, but not too much. If not, I will really forget what I have been living for the past few months.

I shall scrape the idea of going to NJ. Not that I am not capable of that, but maybe Hwa Chong is better? The seniors are all giving the 'Being in NJ is not happy' feeling, so yeah. Anyway, both schools are opposite each other.

A square program is fun in a sense that I get to talk a lot to seniors whom I know and I don't know and those I just knew. Haha. At least I get a little info about the different JCs. Well, after seeing their tutorials, I really got freak out. O level syllabus is nothing when you go to A levels.

I am really pissed off with my HMT. Could have got like 77 or more, if not for my wrongly written characters( can't say spelling cos' it's not english). Sian to the power of infinity. I must try to beat Qi Xiang in O'levels, if not I have to treat him to lunch. Jiayou!!! SS is also something I must do well in, since I only have one humanities.

I shall start my muggings NOW. Like what chun yueh said, Obama can sleep for only 4 hours everyday, so can I. LOL, I can try. But then I won't be a cat anymore. I will become a panda. LOLS.

Senior prom to plan next. Sheesh, why do I always seemed to have so much to do?!!

Common Test was a great great great disappointment.

With L1R5 of 18, I am utterly awake. I must start now or never.

I want to get into NJC.

I want at least 7 A1s.

I want to go on to the stage.

The Tests that are so common have finally come to an end.

I am certain that I did rubbish for all the tests.

English- Just like normal, I just hope I won't fare like how I did last year.

Social Studies- Thrash. I got 15/25. Though it was a pass, but I thought I can do better and avoid all those silly mistakes.

Amaths- No hope =DIE lor.

EMaths- There's still hope. Haha, Mr Tai set the paper.

Physics- Ah, die.

Chemistry- Should expect something nice, but the MCQ is %#$^!T#&!^!!!

Literature- I didn't finish my irony. T_____T Heartacheeeeeeee.

HMT- Should be able to sustain my standard.

That's for my MT. I was rather anxious before receiving the results. Yes, you people are going to kill me when I say that. BUT, there's always accidents right. Lol, and I trick ade into thinking that she got a B3. She almost broke down, =P

2)Heavily in Debt
Not financially wise, but homework wise. I am even owing HMT homework. What are earth is getting into me? The old Amaths too. Juniors, please do not learn from me. This is not an exemplary act. Haha. I hope I can clear all the debt after CNY. -.-

3)Inspired!

Hello people, I know it had been a long time since I updated and people complained; so here I am!

Let's start from December, by chronological order.

1) 赤壁！HSK Study Trip 2008 to Beijing/Nanjing
It was a blast, seriously. Not only did I got corrupted there(in the sense that I learnt dai-dee and bridge and played mahjong), I had a everlasting experience. The bunch of people I met, those crazy 赤壁s who sang all the way from beijing to nanjing, from the hotel to whatever destination we were heading. Another choir haha. I shall blog about these with proper photos when I am free, haha.

In short : I ❤ 赤壁！

2)New Year 2009!
Let's recap;I did this in 2007. Let's see if I had accomplish everything.

Met ade, zihuan and yang qi and went together. Coincidentally met Alvin on the mrt. Went to meet up with the rest and wrote card for Joy:D
We went to Manhatten Fish Market at Plaza Singapura to eat fish. The first thing I asked when we stepped outside the restaurant was "你们有没有闻到腥味？" LOL. Anyway, my title is just plain random. Hah, ignore me.

I have lots to do now and I don't know where to start. I realise all the teachers think we are quite free after the exams and hence gave us lots of tests/ work to do concurrently. Worse still, the tests/SPA/diagnostic test fall consecutively on the same week. Grrr.

I guess my physics mock SPA was alright, though I didn't realise it was on that day.

RGS peer support sharing was a blast! Uber fun and of course, insightful. It surprises me to see that structures of the different leadership boards in different schools are actually quite similar to ours. Anyway, that will be another post.

Watched 新加坡金曲奖 on channel U yesterday. Some winners of the awards are okay, but some a bit -__-
Gosh, and Yoga Lin won like so many? It was a waste that Jam Hsiao couldn't make it, but it was great to see that he spoke quite a fair bit on the video. Hahaha.

are a waste of money, unless you exclude the quite successful Sports Education Programme last year.

In my opinion,

I seriously see no need in engaging external agencies to TEACH us how to be a person of values. After 3 years, we are still like THAT. Values can't be taught by notes and some mini-concert to display TRILS. I believe edusave are given to facilitate better programmes that will develop our potential or something. Lucky, this was the last that we have to go through in BP.

I should go and start a training agency to train students to become leaders of tomorrow or something. Easy money eh. People will faint if they hear leadership programmes again. Haha, I believe.

HELLO PEOPLE.

It's been a long time since I posted, because I swore(alright, not to that extent) that I would not touch this blog till I get 10 or below for my L1R5.

Thus, I am back today to inject some life into this quite lifeless website.

No, no. I am not that smart and genius to get 10 for L1R5.

I AM JUST TEMPTED to post.

HAHAHAHAHAHA :D

Alright, these two days are the most suspended days in the calender.
Sitting on the cold, hard, sometimes sandy, floor of the hall for two whole days really makes my butt ache.
However, the results make my heart ache even more.
Not good for the faint-hearted.

Anyway, some major highlights this time round:
1) After a long struggle with Amaths, I finally passed. I was on cloud nine when I received the paper. Though it is only a mere and very border line B4, I am still elated. After all, this is the first step to more passes. =D

2)I am happy with Emaths. Just that there were a few careless mistakes here and there, making my distinction dropped to B3. 69/100, heart bled. Hahaha.

3)Literature was disappointing and Social studies was good. However, the total mark for combined humanities is 74. What a holy number. *Faints*

4)Biology was horrible. So is Physics. -_-

5)My marks for English was extreme. VERY EXTREME. I think I wrote so out of point that the marker could not stand it. Luckily, my report writing, comprehension and summary pulled me back from hell. Thus, please pardon me if I PURPOSELY write in good English. I am desperate to improve it drastically and save my life.

Hiatus for a long time.

Okay, I will be going into a long term of hibernation from now.
Partly due to reasons of:

1) I am procrastinating too much
2) Computer is distracting me A LOT
3) I need time to adjust to my current position ( lots to do)
4) Buck up on my results. ( lemme tell you, my common test results are rubbish.)
5) I need to calm myself down and slow down my pace.

With great power, comes great responsibility.
I will take responsibility in my position of a secretary and take responsibility in my studies.

Thus, I shall refrain from blogging till I get L1R5 of 10 and below for EOY.
If not, I shall close down this blog next year, since nobody reads it.

SINGAPORE GOT IT!

Michael Phelps aside for today.

SINGAPORE FINALLY GOT IT!

After 48 years of arduous wait, the female table tennis team finally rewrote Singapore's sporting history.

The team of 3, consisting of Li Jia Wei 李佳薇, Wang Yue Gu 王越古 and Feng Tian Wei 冯天薇 fought against the team from Korea.

It was a near 4 hours nerve wrecking battle between the 2 South-east Asia countries.

The final result was 3:2.

Feng Tian Wei was really the heroine of the day. She nailed down two matches and secured our win.
However, I felt that Li Jia Wei was below standard today, in the sense that she made quite a bit of errors.

Nevertheless, Singapore is secured with the silver medals.

48 years, and we made it.

FIR CONCERT~

我把我的第一次献给了FIR!

I am really damn happy that I went to see for myself-what is a concert.

The atmosphere was good, the setting was good, the voices are good, the couple is still as sweet.
Poor 建宁老师, he was left out at the side, cos Faye and 阿沁 kept moving to the other side.
Haha.

The whole thing was really 高潮迭起，让我听出耳油，情歌真是扣人心弦。

The seats were almost full and the most important thing is that my JAM HSIAO CAME. ^o^

Anyway, I met kimchi at 4pm to go bugis to shop first.
Saw lots of cute things then we went for dinner at food junction.
Guess who we saw there!
MR TAN KOK HUA, with his uber cute son. LOL

Then we trained to kallang then took bus 11. We were glad that we managed to squeeze on to the bus. There were a million people and the bus was like a tin of sardines.
We reached there in time, but we don't know where' s the South entrance, thus, we ended up touring one whole round about the stadium.

These planets things were really nice, especially when lighted up. They look like lanterns to me(:

They kicked off the start with 无限, 我要飞，天天夜夜, and 我们的爱

He's super cute. He is extremely nervous so he kept finding his water. xD

It's like Faye and Real are like confessing to each other, and the way they started singing "天天夜夜” was so sweet too. Hahahaha xD

Of course, the trio sang 千年之恋，塔罗牌，Ｒｅｖｏｌｕｔｉｏｎ，Ｃｈａｎｇｅ，流浪者之歌，第一天，Ｇｅｔ　Ｈｉｇｈ　and many more to list.

The encore was fab of course. Faye thanked everyone one by one, the make-up artiste etc.
Then it was time for

LYDIA and FLY AWAY.

Classics. Those are my favourites too.

I was singing very loudly during the entire concert. On top of that I was dancing and jumping around during songs like " Get High" and "第一天". The genius me also managed to force kimchi into singing and standing up to cheer/dance whatever you call it.

I really can't bear to leave the concert.

I will give it 5/5 if I can, but that will not be reliable as it will shows signs of bias from your contextual knowledge and other sources. =_=

After the concert, Kimchi and I went to find yongli and his friend, Nicole for supper.
We had a horrible time locating him. -.- We went to the wrong bridge etc.
I managed to see 建宁老师though, amidst the crazy fans.

So, we went to eat the famous(according to mr seow) 田鸡粥。 What is it in English?
Actually I can't go for supper, but I told my mum that yongli will be liaise for anything. Wahahaha.

Reached home at around 1.3oa.m.
Slept at around 2a.m.
Woke up at around 1p.m. today.
Uber tired and 20% of my voice gone due to the cheering comp. and concert.

I screamt very loud during Jam's part and some high parts.

I will not throw away my ticket. I wanna keep it as a momentum. =D 1st concert!

There was the national day celebrations in school yesterday.
Parade + many patriotic songs + Cheering comp finals 2008.

I think the parade can be improved. Perhaps more marching?

Cheering comp. this year was really a great one.
This round, is really my last cheering competition in BP.
It has been a long way back since sec 1, when everyone was so reluctant to cheer and embarrass themselves.

All the songs they sang during the so called concert was really nice, brought back all the memories of the past national day celebrations. Songs like "Where I belong" "We will get there" and many others.

I really like the parts when we sang and everyone just jumped up and started dancing, holding hands with people you don't know and just running about. It's not about the people you know sometimes, but about the BPian spirit that we don't show normally.

This morning, Yi Xin and I finally gave the card to JY. I really felt like crying. Zzzz
I think that is partly because among all the EXCOs, JY is the closest to me and I've known him since Sec 1. It must have been great affinity to be his understudy and also work with him during sec 1 orientation last year.

Now, we are going to take over, it is hard to suppress that kind of feeling. It is really sad to see them step down, although they must, one day. They are my role models and I looked up to them all this while.

I must say, thank you Jun Yue for your guidance and support these 3 years. THANK YOU~

I feel very tired nowadays, I think it is perhaps because of the tightly packed schedule everyday. I don't even have 5 hours of sleep everyday.

Mrs Wong told us that the results will be released on Monday. I don't know how to feel.

There's so many IDKs.

Spa today was fun. We added sodium to water and it exploded. The reaction was very big, lucky alfred in front of me, help me block. LOLS. Some people got spurt by the solution and they needed to wash the area.

Oral was fine, I guess. Ms Meyer should be quite lenient la.

NJC people came down to collect the tickets. In the end turned out to be Benjamin, Brandon's brother.

Today's court duties at the juvenile court was rather interesting.

I met Jarin at 6.50 to collect Jasmin's long sleeve blouse .
Then I went to board the bus to CCK interchange.
Wait, I didn't board the bus.

I went up the bus and realised that I didn't bring my EZ-link. ZZZZ
Luckily the bus never start driving yet.
I quickly went down and went back my house to take my card. -.-

Blah blah blah,
Then we reached the juvenile court.
Actually we waited at the subordinate court.
Then Mr Tan very funny lor. He said he wants to take our picture with the subordinate court. Then he kept adjusting his position, walk here walk there. Then in the end he said, " Aiya, remove the pole la."
Hahaha, the pole he meant is the national flag's pole =__= Cos it's blocking the words, "Subordinate court"

Had court observations first. Some cases really made me O____O
Then discussion with the magistrate.
The magistrate didn't turn out to be the original one. Never the less, he was very friendly and approachable.
The discussion was fun, but the aircon is horribly cold. Freaking cold. Colder than my cold jokes.

Uhh, okay.

Then went back to the court room and listened to the final orders.
Quite matched our predictions.

Lesson learnt: Always give people second chances and make sure they learn from it and acknowledges their mistakes.

Everything ended and we went for lunch.

Did I mention that Mr Tan gave each of us $5 for lunch. He sponsor leh. Touched~~ XD
He's pretty generous leh, given that there's 12 of us and the total amount sums up to 60 bucks.

Went to People Parks Centre and our first mission was to find a pair of shoes for ade.
Yea, shoes.
Cos her shoes are in a quite pathetic state. I reckon the whole sole is gonna tear. The skin is peeling worse everytime she walks. She said that it was brand new and nice and shiny when she left her house.
Weird la.

Never mind, then we tried to settle down for a place to lunch.
We went to Mac, Subway all no place.
Agnes suggested Delifrance, but no way! It's damn ex la!

Anyway, we settled for Coffee Bean. Cut Jasmin's cake and ate my Chicken Bologanise Fusili (?)
I thought the taste was okay only.
Coffee Bean gave Jasmin a complementary drink since it's her birthday.
Haha, so I was telling ade to go coffee bean for birthdays.

On the way back, we had a photo spamming spree.
Jasmin became a bit cranky and crazy on the MRT.

YEAH! WE WON SERANGOON GARDENS AND MACPHERSON PRIMARY TODAY!

We got 706 people dancing, they got around 500 only.

All of us were damn happy when we finished the whole dance.

Pornsak was really funny, he made me laugh throughout the dance.

We also came up with lots of weird "chants", like:
"Circle circle Wooh, circle circle WOOH, sway, sway, turn to your side."
and
"Ha, Ha, Open, Close, Ha, Ha"

Then the TV crew was like saying what are we doing. xD

The last link was quite frustrating, cos' there was a lot of technical faults and we had to do film the whole thing over and over. Then it was quite paiseh cos we started the BP cheer quite a number of times and we had to stop it half way. =__________=

However, the best thing is that I took solo pic with Pornsak =DDDDD Now can make pearlynn jealous liao. Hehe =X

3M1 outing to KTV

Anyway, on 7 July 2008, which is Kah Eng's birthday also, we went to the Partyworld KTV at Civic Plaza.
Ai xin bought a cake for KE and MingHui, Alfred and I shared cost to buy a sketch book for KE.

Entered the room at around 3 and our K session officially began!
There was lots of Jay Chou songs at the start and slowly change to english songs then lots of duets =D

YL came half way, with his luggage and stuff.
Uhh, yes. He lugged all his luggage from Tiongman to Singapore and straight to the KTV.
So, I was like laughing at how much he looks like a illegal immigrant who swam across
JB to Singapore. Wahahaha xD

Singing is fun, I shall go K again after my cough is G-O-N-E, which it hasn't -.-

Thanks to yl, we got discount for the K and he helped us pay some of the bill. Thus, we only need to pay $10 each. Good to have yl as form teacher right. HAHAHAHA

After that, went causeway to eat dinner at horizons. LOL
Wasn't very hungry after singing too much.
Then went home after eating.
I found out that Yew Shen can really eat. Hahahahahahahaha xD

HELLO ;D
Today is a damn hectic day, bazaar, orals and the Records Challenge practice!

Before the sun even rose, I reached school and started decorating the canteen and going over to 1A and 104 classroom to check on the haunted house progress.

Then was ACES.
A bit weird and lag, we don't know when to change moves or something la.
Then we kept forcing YEWSHEN to go up the table to demo wahaha.
Cos he very sexy, he can shake his butt like. LOL
The whole class was like laughing like hell. LMAO.

Then went to set up the booth.
Actually the entire bazaar was quite sian for me.
My $4 tickets quite wasted, cause I didn't know what to buy and when I want to buy, the stalls closed -_-ll
In the end donated the money to 101.
Sorry 101, i wanted to buy L change the world DVD, but no money ah. Sorry ah D:

The main highlight was the Bpian Idol 2008.
Winner is Jamie Loh from 4T1.
1st Runner-up is SOPHIA SAW! =D
Congrats to her! :D
Sad that Hanafi didn't get it, and Raafiq was suay la.

The haunted house set up by Vivace and Amigos was quite well received and we earned quite a bit. 8D
I didn't really help cos I was tied down by couns stuff, however, I did ask people to go play ;D
I guess the only thing that I did was to play with the snake aka scare the people with the snake. =P

I really want to thank all the sec 2 and 3 councillors and josephine who helped in setting up the booth and decorating the school! Many thanks to YEE KHANG too, I think he is quite stressed during these few days, but never the less, you did a GREAT job!

Yue Cong and I then went to find Mrs Wong to let her see through our speech.

Then we went to eat at the coffee shop. Along the way, I kept repeating myself:

"YUECONG, I VERY SCARED LEH. HOW??? "

She kept calming me down and told me to relax. I just simply can't!
Cos' the fact is I am scared.

Went up to the library and revised a bit. Then You Yi searched all over the place for her EZ-LINK in horror.
Lucky she found it soon.

The library was freezing and the butterflies in my stomach just won't stop fluttering.
We explored the area behind the counter and we found the previous years' year book.
I saw the 1997 one and I saw YONGLI. LOL, he looked very 土last time. Hehe.
We also saw Miss Zizi and Mr Tan's photo in the past =P

I was so bored and desperate to kill the boredom, so Jo and I started doing random things and say cold stuff.

When it was finally my turn, I already waited for like 2 hours plus.
The reading was okay, but some parts not very shun.
The conversation was O_o
I didn't expect the question and I think my performance is mediocre.
The teachers kept nodding their head but is that a sign whether I screwed up or not?

After orals, I ran to the Records Challenge and found out that they changed some of the dance step.
Ok la, the main point is not that.
Main point is: PORNSAK CAME!

I was depressed after the orals. Then when I saw him, I sprung into life. Haha
*RUN AROUND HAPPILY, BANG THE WALLS, SCREAM SCREAM SHOUT SHOUT and RUNS AGAIN.*

I think he's really a good host, being young and vibrant! What I talking. LMAO.
I was really high after that.
Then, the couns went to request to take photos with him.
I tapped his shoulders and asked: Hello, 可以和你拍照吗？
Then he very friendly and replied SURE.
Hahah, super happy.

开学一个星期了，周遭就发生了许多变化。我似乎好像还没习惯这些改变。
从前总显得更美丽，也许是我太安于现状了，才应付不来突如其来的改变。
我还是想念从前的导师，并不实现人的教师门不好，而是这一年半载的相处已让我们师生培养了默契，感情也增进了。
如今眼前的风景一刹那间改变了，我还是需要时间适应新老师们的教法。
书是为自己读的，前途也是自己的。我需要时间，但时间是不会任何人停下的。
我的付出更多的努力，若不，我日前的努力就得功亏一篑。

下个星期就得发表演说了。虽说在全校师生的面前演讲已是家常便饭，但这次却有了一种莫名的压力。
看着各课外活动的学长和领袖渐渐将领袖的位置传给我们中三的同学，我感到倍感压力。
学生理事会的选举就快要举行了。看着学长，学姐们都要走了，觉得非常舍不得，也忐忑不安。
我们是否已经做好准备了呢？
我很怕当选后又做得不好。若没有，我该欢喜，或该愁？

变，是唯一的不变。
变，却让人感到不安。

说穿了，我实在有点怕。

Today's the start of a brand new school term.
Song and dance sessions today(: Literally singing and dance. Well, we did sing, BIRTHDAY SONGS(: for three people, You Yi, CCR and Huan Ran.

Haha, I think the new teacher was like O________O.

Lots of surprises today. Hmm.
Form class was okay, nothing much happen la.

Next was SS, Miss Tay thought it was CME!!!!!!

Our new teacher for CME is MISS TRINA TAY!! YEAH! It's gonna be so fun.
Then started revising chapter 4 and started on Bonding Singapore.

Today was FUNNNNNNN!
Went to NJC with !RNA early in the morning.
(Sheesh, I slept at 1am last night, I mean, TODAY.)

I was like WHERE IS NANYANG? REACH ALREADY? Haha, kept bugging irna.
Hehe, then Irna helped me check my english compo. Yes, I brought my homework file with me.

Then we finally alight at the bus stop outing NanYang.
Being quite dense and blind. I fail to notice that NJ and NanYang were side by side.

The briefing took like 1hr+++ Then we were released.
The team leader, Kah Swee, looked like that guy from CO-Wang Da I think. I mean its like uncanny resemblance. Irna and I were like thinking, eh, that guy looks very familar. HAHAHA. Then Irna was drooling over Shuai Ge #1.

Then we walk walk around NJ. Luckily we got out of the school.

I seriously want to give myself a tight slap for procrastinating so much during the holidays.
There is only two days left and I still got lots to do.
I must really buck up and finish up everything in time.

Had the SPI yesterday.
Quite an enriching experience.
I discovered who I really am and what I need to improve on. I want to be a better person and leader, so I have to start from NOW!

Watched Akeelah and the Bee yesterday.
Brina, Ade and I were like saying DYLAN CHIU very suave. Hahaha.
The first time we watched it last year, I thought he was quite a idiot.
The second time I watched it(yesterday), I think he quite handsome and I sympathise with him for having such a strict and evil father; who restrains from smiling and clapping. Haha.

He's 20 now. =O Born in 1988, and a Eurasian! No wonder so shuai. LOL

Nicholas and Agnes were really good. I mean, RMUN people.

My speech was like horrible. We were given 4 minutes each and i spoke less than one minute.-.-
I ended with but.. but..but..but.. Super hilarious.

Then Agnes say, you know how to say Thank You right. Then I was like. Oh ya, thank you.

We roamed around. Then we window shopped.
We went to jewellery shops and was like commenting on this piece of jewellery, that piece of jewellery etc.
Then we were looking at proposal rings, wedding bands all those stuff. Hahaha.
The salesperson there were like laughing at us lah. Haha
When we went to GoldHeart, the person was still advertising to us about Father's Day gift or something. Still give us catalogue! We were laughing like hell la. HAHAHA

Then we went to Xue Yun's house to do literature project.
Quite slack at first. Then in the end everyone wants to go home so we quickly finish up.

Today is ... Friday the 13th!

Hmm, early in the morning went to meet ade and jess at the CC Mac for Breakfast.

Wow, immediately after I stepped inside Mac, it rained.

Heavily.

The true miracle is none of us brought umbrellas.

So we ate and waited for my mum to rescue us.
McGriddles ok la, quite nice.

Then they came to my house to do the HMT project. I think we were quite efficient this time round.
Cause we managed to finish everything except Jo's part in 6 hours.

At least that's a rather heavy load cleared off my shoulders now.

and YAY! Kimchi is back from M'Sia!

Tomorrow: Family gathering. Confirm chop chop no time do work.

2-6 JUNE of Sun, Sand and Sea

At first, I dreaded OBS, I want to fake death, broken limbs or whatever and skip OBS.

Now, I want to go back and unpitch tents, apply insect repellent and KAYAK =D

I shall tell you the story of a cat trying to survive and fish in PULAU UBIN.

2nd June 2008 -Day 1
We gathered in school at 7.30 and we waited until 8+++++++ before we set off to Punggol Jetty.
Principal talk to us and etc. Saw my watch for the first time. Uh, still quite strangers-.-

Reached Punggol Jetty and took the bumper boat with watch to PULAU UBIN.
Apply lots of Sunblock and insect repellent and we waited at Pulau Ubin for a longggggg time. -_-
Then we got separated into our watch and knew our watch name and instructors. They also told us the history of OBS, the rules and etc.

I'm in watch no. 19 RAFFLES. My instructor is Kiah Hong or otherwise known as Kiah. =D

We went to the dinning hall for intro. First, we did self-intro and handed over our valuables.
Then we talk and talk then we went to take group photo!
After that, we went to check our store and check the quality of the equipment over there. Some of us, including me, went to sort out the food and rations for the watch.

Then we had lunch and I was the Day IC for that day.

Then it was TRUSTFALL time. Fun game.

"Raffles are you ready?"
"Raffles ready, Raffles Pull."
"I am falling."
"FALL ON!"

Lesson: Must trust your team mates =D

Then we went belaying. Belaying was FUN too =D
The sun is not though.

"Am I on Belay?"
"No, you are not."
"That's me!"
"Squeeze Check."
"Pull Check."
"Instructor Check."
"I'm climbing!"
"CLIMB ON"

After that, we got ready to pitch tents and cook our dinner. Yeah, we did outdoor cooking.
Rice, sausages and luo han zhai and corn. Haha, our watch hates corn.

Then clearing plates and wash up. The toilets okay la.

After that, we met Kiah and we gotta pack our stuff into our bagpack for the next day.

Suddenly, there was fire drill and it dragged until 10++, so everyone was like scurrying off to clean up before lights out at 11.

Day 2: 3rd June 2008
In the morning was the uber slack PT. Haha, after simple sets of workouts, we played games!
First was the greetings thingy. We have to do various greetings with our friends.
"Ohaiyo!"
Then there's some salmon slapping thing with your hands.
Then there was this crab walking thing. Hahas, so much fun.
Played the caterpillar dance-.-, actually its just scissors paper stone in a caterpillar manner.
"Left,left, left. Right, right, right. Forward, forward, forward,backward, forward."
"SCISSORS, PAPER, STONE"
Obviously my caterpillar owned the other and they had to do buttwrite " RAFFLES UTAMA"

Hehs.

We learnt how to KAYAK!! and it was horrible doing the capsizing. -_-
BC said I was doing somersault in the water. -_- Lucky he save me, or I die on second day. LOL
Half way it rained so Kiah brought us our food and some heart warming MILO. Hot MILO!!!!

Then we washed up as in not bathe -.- just rinse water. ........
Then we did ROCK CLIMBING! =DDDD
I was the second girl to try and I climbed up to the first platform. Too scared to go up to the top one. Haha.
It was fun belaying down.

After that, we trek to 'Shopping Centre' , the wild boar infested place.
I saw a wild boar that was far far away!
Along the way, I saw the OBS banner which says

"Perseverance prevails when all else fails."

It kinda motivates me along the way and even until now.
The mosquitoes, grasshoppers, spiders and ants(they bite) are horrible.
We pitched the tents and the boys started cooking maggi mee with peanuts and curry chicken and tuna.
Then I lost my bag-.- I left it on the ground and when they placed all the bags on the blue tub, mine miraculously appeared outside a tent. Thus, I panicked and couldn't find it. ZZZzzz
Then when I found it, I put it on the blue tub. When I wanted to take my torch and wet tissue.

MY BAG WAS MISSING AGAIN. -_-

This time, I mobilized the whole watch to look for my tent. LOL. I asked all of them to get their bags and I realised someone in the watch mistook my bag. Nevermind. -_-

Then got Sentry duty(lol, thanks for the spelling ccr) at night. Quite sian.
Couldn't sleep cause the ants kept biting. -_-

3rd day: 4th June 2008
Learnt map reading, found the check point which says

" OBS 53- "Life is a daring adventure or nothing."

and trek to the Quarry.
The trekking was tiring.
We built a raft over there but it failed so we can't go down water. However, Kiah allowed us to go down the "bath tub" to swim. I didn't, not because I can't swim but stomach ache -.- you all know la hor.

After that, we had lunch and trek back to camp 2 before proceeding to camp 1.
We repacked at Camp 2, when we packed 2 bags into 1.
It was horribly heavy with 2 ponchos and 4 water bottles. -.- and clothes.

Yah, and I lost my toiletries at this point of time. Horrible.
It just disappeared when I went back to the store for awhile. Suay.

So, we trek to Camp 1, the PARADISE. It was a long, tiring, exhausting and heavy walk.
I wanted to cry and die and come back.

The aching got worst and further more, my shoulders area was stiff and numb already when we reached camp 1.
We pitched tents and went around the camp, then it was DINNER! Quite a decent dinner I must say. Cause it's catered! =D

Then shower. I must really thank Yan Ling for lending me her shampoo and etc. =D

Then we had meeting as a mobile. MOBILE 2D!

Briefing on sea expedition for the next day. We chose our sea ex leaders.
Changrong, Bing Cai, Matin, Jun Gang, Brandon, Lovell, Yee Khang and one more I forgot. LOL

Great people you see, make sure we don't die in water.
Then the sea ex leaders had their meeting and we went for supper.

Then we packed the ponchos and food that we are going to bring for our sea ex.

Then sleep. I couldn't sleep, I kept dreaming about weird life vest that needed some codes to work. -.-

Day 4: 5th June 2008
WOOHOO! Sea Expedition.

Raffles, Nila Utama, Da Gama and Hillary!

We set off at around 8++ and we returned at around 3++ pm. We altered the original route and skipped Pulau Semakao(how to spell?).

Anyway, I paired with bing cai, to ensure that I won't die in water =DDDDDDD
Fun la, to pair with him, cause I don't have to paddle. Wahahaha.
Slacker. xD

Basically, I sat in front and he did both the steering and paddling. We were the sweeper with CCR and Yili. They on another kayak. Yili also slack. She never paddle at all then she say she very tired. LOLLOLOL

Eventually, we got sick of being the sweeper and we took over the starboard. Then, we overtook the navigator.
Cause paddle until very shiok already and that sick db pig kept complaining that they were slow. But in actual fact, yes they are slow-.-

We stopped at Pulau Ubin Village and ate lunch there. Then we came back to camp site 2.
Then pitch tents and etc.

We had cooking competition among Raffles, Da Gama and Hillary!
Raffles got 1st! runner up. Haha, our food not bad la, just that the vege and carrots abit crispy and the rice some part no flavour de. LOL

I think the boys in Raffles really love cooking. They did most of the cooking and the girls washed and cut the stuff. Haha

Da Gama got first for their really creative innovation: The orange Juice Rice. Wonder if everyone is okay after eating it. LOL joking.

Hillary not bad too, bad they cook so little that they got not enough to eat.
Little in the sense that there's only 2 mess tins of food. LOL

Then we started unpacking things. Slowly unpack to make things easier the next day.
We gathered to see Kiah. We talked about lots of stuff. Our life and Kiah's job as an OBS instructor etc.

Then, Jarin asked me whether I got back my toiletries. Then I say no, then I went with her to see where my toiletries were. Apparently, her watch people mistook my stuff when they were unpacking and packing again on day 2. Sian diao.. I 3 days never brush teeth cause of that.-.-

Slept soon enough.

Day 5: 6 June 2008
Woke up and met Kiah for PT. Games again!
Played evolution and the squirrel, hunter and fire game.

Then we went to eat breakfast and pack our stuff. Find back our stuff and etc.
At around 10+, we took our bags and went down to the shelter near the kayak there.
There, we had our final briefing and last time we sit in a circle like a watch.

We talked about the best and worst times of the camp, our strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly our goals.

We proceeded to the bell station. We are supposed to stand on the step and dive forward to reach the bell and make it ring, sorta signifies that we will reach our goal.

"Raffles are you ready?"
"Raffles ready, Raffles Pull!"
"I'm diving"
"DIVE ON"

I did it twice, cause I didn't touch it the first time. Yeah, and like what the others say. That's my first obstacle before I can realise my goals.

Shan't tell you what's my goal. Maybe when it comes true, you will know it. It's going to be near too.

After that, we got back our valuables and our certificate of participation or I should say the certificate to recognise our efforts to stay alive and challenge the back-to-basic life.

Then three cheers for Raffles and for Kiah and we went shopping. =D

Shopping's still the best.

I bought 2 polo tees- black and blue, 1 black cap, 1 blue notebook many priceless memories.

We waited for a long long time, before boarding the ferry back to mainland and coming back home.
Thanks to Kah Eng's father that we managed to get out of the ulu place. Then we cabbed back to Lot 1 for lunch with Yan Ling, Cheow Lin, Swee Ling, Yi Lei, Eileen and Jasmine.

$3, but worth a life time memory.

Raffles watch, 2 June-6June 2008: Wei Da, Robert, Qiqi,Nabil, Farhan, Fadilah, Jia Yi, Yu Feng, Wan Zhen, Yan Ling, Qi Yuen, Bing Cai, Elton, Taylor, Jun Gang and Kiah Hong.

Every single of us is different, but it is these differences that brings us together and what makes Raffles special.
Thank you everyone for making this 5 days lasting, memorable and the best ever.

Like what Kiah said, regardless of the future OBS journey we are going to embark in the future, or the new watches we are going to form with our family, friends, there is a similarity in all of us- Each of us Rafflesians went through this strenuous 5D4N on Pulau Ubin as a watch, looking after each other and sharing memories and experiences we never experience before. Even 50 years later, we will remember that we once shared the same period of laughter, fun and sweat.

Thanks Kiah and Raffles for the memories.
I am going to be a better person.
I was out of my comfort zone and I learnt how to.
I would choose to come again if given the choice, for I discover the new me and saw for myself what I could do.

Old lady Incident and Science Team AGM/Outing

Anyway, she sort of chided me for knocking into her with the popular shopping bag, which I don't even think I did so. She then just opened the plastic bag and check what I bought. So, I told her that the bookcase is PLASTIC.

She started to say that her knee was hurt before and wanted to see it was metal or what. -.-
I don't think Popular will sell metal -.-
So I just nod and nod and apologise and immediately scram. -_-

What a strange encounter. Never mind.

Science Team AGM and OUTING
AGM: Hand over of leadership. This year, they abolished the system of having welfare, logistics and treasurer etc. for the whole science team. Now, the individual units will be responsible for their own money and etc.

Which I thought was quite good. Those sub committees were pretty useless. =D

ST outing to HortPark!
It's really a great place to destress, with all those greenery and plants and flowers :D Calm and soothing environment. Good place to unwind.

There's all sort of species of plants here, from herbs and spices to fruit trees. From cotton trees to beautiful flowering plant. A very nice fragrance lingered throughout the entire trail. Very nice. :D

Anyway, we ended with a Mac Dinner. Haha, HAPPY MEAL. LAWL~

Pop fair, movies and more shopping :D

Since I am pretty bored now, and there's another boring event coming up later, I shall blog.

On wednesday, Kimchi and I travelled all the way down to Expo for the Pop Fair, which was quite disappointing. We thought the previous one last year at Suntec Convention was much much much more better. At least the lighting and arrangement of the stuff were better. Bought some stuff and went for lunch.

Saw QiWei and Janice =)

Kimchi insisted on treating me-.- stubborn mule. LOL
Thus we ate BK and i treated her to onion rings that tasted like onions. -_-
Talk lots of rubbish then we went to the Robinsons Sale. Not much stuff la, just that Kimchi was depressed that she couldn't get that pair of jeans.

Next was Tampines Mall and Century Egg, i mean Century Square.
Saw lots of Levi's Shops. At this stage, I was literally moodless. On one hand I was very tired, on the other, I had a weird and crazy encounter with this old lady.
Kimchi and I were looking at some stuff, when the old lady came up to me and accused me of ramming into her near the MRT. -_-

I mean, did I even bang into anyone and she stalked me from the MRT to Tampinese Mall to check who used the shopping bags to break her legs? Of course her legs didn't break la.

My immediate reaction was: O__________________________O ???

And yeah, my mood was destroyed. So I appeared very sian for the rest of the entire day.

Soon, we went back. Tired~

Long movie, 2h20mins, but worth the money.

A rather nice film and I like the ending song very much :DDDDDDD

We had our last lesson with Mrs Koh/Ms Goh/Mdm Goh today.

She told us yesterday that she is flying to Tokyo for 2 years with her hubby.
Thus, she is abandoning us~~ -.-
I almost cried in class yesterday when she broke the news to us.
After all, she taught me for 2.5 years, like more than half of my secondary life.

Cheering Competition 2008

This year's cheering comp is really different for me.

Lower Sec Prelims Round

I looked back and really realised how two years had gone by so quickly.
I remembered when I was in 101, we knew nothing about cheering comp, had no seniors' help and we ventured out alone and falter badly.
Then, I was in 201, we learned our lesson and advanced to the finals. We thought the stakes were high, but we lost anyway.

I was the emcee yesterday, along with Irna.
The whole thing was so cool and fun, I mean being an emcee.
Some of the performances were really good and the games are really fun. Hoho.
I think the atmosphere wasn't really high cos' the sec 1s and 2s didn't really understood our lameness.
Thank goodness Demas and Chun Yueh were there to back us up. Haha. Thanks!

The limbo rock/pole dance and the freeze dance are so fun. xD
Especially the freeze dance, when you can irritate people. Hahaahaha.

Upper sec prelims round
Now, switch the roles, I'm the participant.
It is going to be my last year participating in the cheering comp.
It is going to be memorable.

We are really high today. Me especially, lol.
Imagine a cat running/jumping around the hall bare-footed. Haha.
Yeah, our performance was real short, but we were confident we could get in cos' we've got mighty voices.

Games and blah, the cheerleaders were great and sexy. LOL
Results time. CY and Demas said that they only chose 3 classes.
Like climax already.

First class: 3P3 -_____-
DIAO, they scammed us like how I lied to the sec 1s and 2s. 208 LOL

kk, 1st class: 3T2 [I tell you, they are real good]
At this instant, people of T2 and P2 jumped up, cos they heard wrongly. LOL
2nd class: 3P2[ Not bad]
At this stage, we already predicted we were out, cos 3L1 was really strong too.
3rd class: 3L1 (Yeah, we got it right, so I was like consoling myself, LOL " qiqi don't cry" and I didn't.

Then, CY and D said: The fourth class is...........
Everyone was like O_____________________O????
I was thinking," Wah lao, sure lying to us again. -_- lame leh"
They continued, "3M1!"

Everyone jumped up and jump and jump yeah. Too high.
I hugged people and then sat down and CRY.
LOL!
People must have thought what the hell is wrong with this person. Haha.
No choice, too surprised and scary. Haha

So, we did our cheers again and again and when we were prepared to leave.

I CAN'T FIND MY SHOE. YES, ONE SHOE.
I only found 1. Haha, I was liek panicking.
WHERE IS MY SHOE???!!!

Then Brenda came up and showed me my shoes. She said she found it downstairs. LOL -.-
Thanks ah, Brenda :D

Anyway, I was lazy to wear my shoes in class so I walked bare-footed back to the class. Haha

Yelling and screaming and singing in the class again.

Face paint rocks more than hair spray. LOL

Heard from one of the judges, WY, that we got second! WOOHOO.
Was really happy.

All the results are back, so are the papers.
I was quite shock, satisfied, disappointed, happy, sulking when I received the various papers. Mixed emotions.

Yesterday was English, Literature, SS, Chemistry and HMT.
It was a pretty happy day. See why.

English:
Free Writing: 16/30 I was like Omg, I don't want to fail english T.T
Situational Writing: 20/30 I was rather happy, cos the prospect of failing English is lesser. Haha
Comprehension (w/o summary): 15/25 Ahem-.-
Summary: 20.5/25 Wow, a true miracle

Thus, the overall for English was 65, B3 on the dot. On cloud nine.

Literature:
Section A: 18/25 I did question on the hound. I was quite happy and shock cos' I didn't really study Literature and the text. 18 was the highest for the level and for that particular question.
Section B: 20/25 Erm?? I think that was so tyco. People beside me wanted to strangle me I think. I did the prose and yeah.

Total for Literature: 76/100 A1

Social Studies:
SBQ: 11/11 Bwahahaha, but lots of people got full marks.
SEQ: 9/12 I simply don't know how this came about.

Total: 20/23 or 87/100 A1 Totally shock.
Yeah, I am one mark away from being on the screen, as in my name.

Combined Humanities SS/Lit: 81.5/100 A1 WOW, but I shall not be complacent, it will get harder.

Chemistry:
86/100. Ok la, quite happy and shock. That bian tai Alfred Chia got 93/100, totally own the whole level, even prat.

HMT:
Situational Writing: 18/20 Top the level I think.
Compo: 48/70, before deducting penalties for wrong words, 51/70 -_-
Paper 2: 79/110 Totally horrible

Overall: 72.5/100 GAHHHH -_- I am utterly disappointed, cos' I aimed for an A1. This is my forte what. Sian

Today:
I really got no comment, refer to below.

Emaths: 50/80 I don't know I should be sad or happy-.- I passed with tons of careless mistakes. I could have got 60+

Amaths: 36/80 WONDERFUL. Yes, I could almost pass, CARELESS MISTAKES

Physics: 57/100 Happy cos I passed, but disappointed with myself cos' there are many people with 70s or 80s, yes Tuan I am referring to you. -_-

Biology: 74.5/100 !!!!!!!@@@@!#!@#@!$@#% 0.5 more marks, hopefully can round up. Sian diao.

See, one day with extremely pleasant results and one day with horrible turd. -_-

Don't mention the L1R5, it's rubbish.

I shall post about cheering comp tomorrow, after the upper sec's done with it.

1)Probably screwed up SS. Nothing to say, cos this is depressing.

2) Mr Shen approached me today and ask me whether I want to go to Taiwan during the June Holidays, for some exchange programme thingy. Like so privileged can, cos only 2 Sec 3s from each school.
I also happen to fall under the category where they will give full subsidy, which also means. I DO NOT NEED TO PAY, FOC! I was like overjoyed, jumping around madly, on cloud nine and whatever la.

1 down, 8 to go.

Half the cohort got to experience the " O'level style" of sitting for the exam. In the hall!
Not every exciting, it feels the same to me.
The fans were on full blast. So, the wind was blowing from all sorts of direction, my hair flew here and there, so was my paper-.- That's why my teeth was clattering like crazy in the whole morning.

Took Paper 1 in the morning. Situational was okay, I think o_-
I am really scared/worried that I will write out of point for free writing.
I chose question 5: Envy.
Quite a freedom question, but the lesser the restrictions, you tend to go out of the intended area. =(
Actually I was quite tempted to write argumentative. Cos' the question was about CCA.

My first reaction was: WOW, same question leh!
My second: OMG, MRS KOH NEVER RETURN ME THE PAPER YESTERDAY!!!!!!!

Shitty-.- If I got back my essay and it is good, I would probably copy wholesale in this exam. Oh well.

Alright, that's a pure indication that exams are coming and the cat is under immense stress, pressure and tension. She needs to vent her frustrations and blah. Friday will be the English MYEs. LIKE SO FAST???!!! We were still enjoying last week. What a great change of mood. I guess I will be staying back everyday to mug with peeps like yue cong, booboo, jarin, shuyang etc.

I am really worried and panicking for Amaths. I really WANT TO PASS. At least that's my first step. Master the basics and then work towards a higher level. In pri school, my maths was better than science. Now, my science is much much more stronger than maths. A Maths in particular.

We watched 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', one of the movies which I enjoyed the most as a kid, during CME and we managed to convince that the film will teach us how to create suspense for our English Essay.

Then BIOLOGY! It was ever interesting and Mdm Quek simply rocks!!!!

Physics was okay, but I dread the next lesson when Miss Ling will return the tests. >.

Then hmm, E Maths. I knew my tests results, 40/50. A1 already, so quite happy. Hope it can pull up my previous marks. =D Actually Miss Chen is quite a nice person if she not so strict. I mean, she has to realise that she is dealing with a bunch of secondary school kids. She is one before, so she should know how it is like. I think she has realised it now, and we can now make the atmosphere more peaceful, which is good la. =DD

Then was dismissal and EXCO meeting. Nothing much to say.
